Happy Endings + TV Tropes: Getting Crap Past the Radar
The practice — usually found on but not limited to comedies — of placing content inappropriate for the target demographic, such as profanity or sexual content past the network censors. Since Most Writers Are Adults, it should come as no surprise that it’s a very common practice.

Really? They are moving Happy Endings to Fridays. Ugh. Then again I have no life outside of my home, work and the internet, so I’m free to watch it Fridays, but it doesn’t bode well for its chances at renewal.
